PRIVACY POLICY
We respect your dataWho we are
Our website address is: https://gumi-events.com.
This Privacy Policy describes the methods of processing Personal Data obtained by GUMI Events in the course of its business activities or via visitors to its website, including www.gumi-events.com as well as the procedure for doing so. In addition, this Privacy Policy describes how GUMI Events guarantees the security of the Personal Data processed.
Although the RGPD is an EU regulation, it is relevant to GUMI Events for several reasons and in particular for the following: Swiss data protection legislation is historically closely linked to European regulations, changes to be made to Swiss law in this area are strongly influenced by the RGPD, and finally the RGPD imposes high standards for the protection of personal data, standards that have an extraterritorial scope (market access), in other words, companies based outside the EU are, under certain circumstances, bound by the provisions of this regulation.
Intellectual property and counterfeiting
Mickael Guillin of GUMI Events is the owner of the site’s intellectual property rights. Credits: All photos, videos and other elements of the site not expressly mentioned come from Divi and Mickael Guillin.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication, adaptation of all or part of the elements of the site, whatever the means or process used, is forbidden, except with the prior written authorization of Mickael Guillin.
Any unauthorized use of the site or of any of the elements it contains will be considered as constituting an infringement and will be prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss articles of the Intellectual Property Code.
Data collected
Mickael Guillin always processes your personal data for a specific purpose, and we only process personal data that is relevant to achieving that purpose.
The data concerned is personal information (e.g. surname, first name, e-mail address, billing address, telephone number, date of birth). In addition, it may also include data arising from the performance of the patient’s professional activities, marketing and sales data (e.g. events organized by Mickael Guillin), data contained in documents (e.g. session protocols), and other similar data.
Retention period
The retention periods for personal information are regularly reviewed. Mickael Guillin retains your personal information on its systems for as long as is necessary for the activity concerned, or to the extent stipulated in any type of treatment commenced, or in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Your rights
Applicable data protection legislation grants you certain rights with regard to the use of your personal data. These rights apply only in certain cases, and are subject to certain exceptions.
You have the right to request Mickael Guillin to rectify inaccurate personal data (see paragraph “modification of personal data”) collected and the right to request the limitation of your personal data until such request is taken into consideration.
Where your personal data is processed on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. Please note, however, that withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
You have the right to ask Mickael Guillin to stop processing your personal data or to request the deletion of your personal data – these rights are not absolute (insofar as there may sometimes be overriding interests that require continued processing, for example legal or medical requirements), but your request will be considered and the decision taken will be communicated to you.
Where personal data based on your consent is processed, or where such processing is necessary to enter into or perform obligations under a treatment or cure, you have the right under applicable data protection laws to request that your personal data be transferred to you or to another data controller. You also have the right to ask Mickael Guillin for a copy of all or part of the personal data collected and processed about you.
In certain circumstances, you may ask not to be the subject of automated decision-making (e.g. sending newsletters), including profiling (RGPD art. 21 § 1-3).
You can exercise the rights set out above or request full information about your rights and how to exercise them by using the contact details in the header of this Statement.
Security
Mickael Guillin has put in place appropriate technical, physical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized or unlawful access to personal data that has been provided. As complete data security cannot be guaranteed for communications by e-mail, instant messaging and similar means via the Internet, we recommend that you send any particularly confidential information by another secure means.
When personal information is transmitted to a third party (e.g. your doctor), the third party is carefully selected and is required to implement appropriate security measures.
Suppliers and subcontractors
The contractual relationship with the subcontractor is governed by written contracts and the data protection provisions of this Privacy Policy have been provided to the subcontractor. Mickael Guillin regularly monitors the measures taken to protect your personal data. A transfer of this data to third parties by the subcontractor is contractually excluded.
If data is transferred, stored and processed in this context, it is done in accordance with the operator’s instructions and within the framework of an RGPD-compliant mandate.
The servers used in a subcontracting context for the operation are located in Switzerland.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service with Google Recaptcha.
The same goes for suppliers (e.g. web hosting such as Infomaniak, sending messages on WhatsApp or mail hosting with Google). Their compliance with RGPD is regularly checked.
Changes to personal data
Mickael Guillin is committed to keeping your personal data accurate and up-to-date. Therefore, if your personal data changes, please inform us as soon as possible.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
All disputes arising in connection with the use of the https://gumi-events.com/ website are subject to Swiss law. Except in cases where the law does not allow it, exclusive jurisdiction is granted to the competent courts of Geneva.
